Cruise Considerations

- The Potomac Association strongly recommends that you and your quests do not wear high heeled or high platform shoes. Vessels on the Bay can roll and pitch unexpectedly. Also, if your guests partake of alcohol you serve during your event, their stability will be negatively affected even more by high heeled or high platform shoes.

- There is no smoking anywhere or anytime on the USS Potomac.

Two to four Potomac Docents will represent the museum and are delighted to take informal tours for your guests and assist in any way required.

Reduced Fees

Non-profit 501(c) 3 organizations may qualify for a reduced rate; however the Executive Director must approve any reduced fee rate request.

Days and Times

The Potomac is NOT available for rent on Mondays and Tuesdays except by special arrangement.

Kudos to you, your staff, the crew and especially to the affable Captain, who made it all look so easy!  I would be happy to be called upon as a reference, should the need arise”

Wedding cruise thanks from the Bride.

A fiftieth wedding anniversary

We’ve been on the Potomac five times, each (time) has been unique, and all have been a joy…  Your guys are absolutely wonderful.

A regular guest

I also want to more than thank the Docents on Board…. for our surprise birthday charter.  They were more than wonderful…they wanted to give our guests a very rich experience … How great was that?  The crew, captain, the professionalism of your operation made my worries just fly away when I boarded the ship… thank you for allowing me, as the hostess, to also enjoy the party to its fullest.  A double surprise birthday charter.
